EOT Cranes(single girder/double girder) is always required in any industry. single girder crane is provided as a complete unit which consists of a box type fabricated girder with 2 nos. end carriages and a Electric Hoist which runs on the bottom flange of the main box girder. Double girder cranes have 2 main girders with  rail on top of the each girder and hoisting equipment (known as crab) runs over the rails of 2 main girders. 2 nos. end carriages connects to the ends of main girder by a bolting arrangement through tight fit reamed holts and machine bolts. span of the crane is manufactured with a tolerance of +_ 5 mm and the crane runs on rail through double flanges wheels provided with end carriages. system of power supply to the crane is agreed between buyer and the supplier. All required safety features as per requirement of various indian and international standards are incorporated.

Most important part in a crane manufacturing is the camber and it has to be maintained while manufacturing. When crane is lifting load the main girder will have deflection and that must be permissible limits by the applicable standard. under any circumstances crane must not have -Ve camber which may lead to shear of the main girder causing a major accident when crane is loaded.

It is a practice at FORUM to carry out 100% radiography of all vertical joints of the main girder which comes in tension when crane is loaded. Generally this practice is not followed by all manufactures. Finished cranes are sand blasted to remove all mill scales and then painted two coats of synthetic enamel primer followed by 2 coats of synthetic enamel colour of buyer's chaise.
